I have not played nintendogs, but this is a cute cat game for young children. You can select the breed of cat you want, then it's fur color, eye color, whisker color, gender and name it. A Purina expert gives you advice throughout the game (feeding, watering, caring for the cat). You can play games to earn money to buy things for your cat. The games are simple games, but would be challenging brain-type games for young children. Many options available for caring for your cat. The cat can go to many different rooms of the house and outside. Movements of the cat are so life-like. Pretty cool game for little ones. My cat was sleeping since I played the game so late tonight and I was advised to let it sleep.
