Higurashi is great~ -swoon- But for people who haven't watched/read/played the previous installments then this might not make sense. I'm not sure. Especially if your Japanese could use a lot of work. Like mine. XD

I tried the Shin Chan game and I can only read like half of it. I wonder if I can take this :p Higurashi is awesome btw.

You will need at least Japanese level 3 to get most of this book. If you have command of at least 300+ Kanji+ intermediate Grammar, maybe you will be OK.

The anime is fansubbed and floating around the internets so I would recommend watching that first. This game series is really famous because it's a totally twisted version of the usual visual novel where you play a guy trying to score with all of the impossibly cute fetishized chicks one at a time. Instead, pretty much every plot line has gruesome stuff going on, as well as a fairly deep mystery behind it. And yeah, obviously the game is gonna be full-on Japanese, but at least a lot of the characters are middle/grade-school so they don't use hard words.

It's a visual novel (text based game), so read it like a novel ( if you understand :3 )...

Ehh, got about an hour in and nothing happened i cant understand it so yea i think it was a waste of time
