And at the guy who got stuck at the ship: that's an anti piracy check. You just have to talk to everyone to normally get past, but if you play on a flashcard, the scene never ends no matter what. You can fix it quite easily by using a cheatcode found on GBAtemp. Coming out within the next few days in English! :)

No, it isn't. I got stuck on the ship at the very beginning. No way one not understanding japanese can make it through without huge help from gamefaqs or another guide. Stay away for now, wait for the english release in february.
