This games is like rubbing rusty metal in your eyes whilst Santa sprays tinsel in your mouth. You feel as though something important is happening when all you really wanted was a bowl of tomato soup.
Ikaruga is really a fun game to play in GC.. worth the download :)
But the problem is.. it's quite hard.. :(

I don't know if it is THE hardest game, but it is definately up there. I have it on 360 and can't make it past level 2, but then I haven't tried playing it in a while either.
You play as a ship with two sides - one is light, one is dark. As you fire at the other ships, they are also either light or dark, or changing like you are. When you are a light ship, you deal a lot of damage to dark ships and absorb light beams. When you are a dark ship, you deal a lot of damage to light ships and absorb dark beams. It is a pretty simple concept, but is very challenging because aside from trying to play a top-down shooter, you are also trying to play red-light-green-light with the on-coming energy beams.
Hardest game there ever was
A must-get Game if you didnt played the dreancast version yet.
Great Gamecube Shooting game. Not FPS.
