The best in the mana series is undoubtedly Seiken Densetsu 3, If you havn't played it look for the rom theres an english patched version floating around the interwebs, and thanks for the heads up on heroes being an rts rather than the traditional hack 'n' slash mana games that I know and love I'll be sure to check both of them out.
I've only played sword of mana other than this one and i have to say sword is better than children.
Fan of the Mana Series will get a few kicks out of this game, I recommend Heroes over this but if you enjoy dungeon crawlers over tactics than this is the Mana game for you on DS. Has it's ups and down...
Sword of Mana still is greater over this.
