How do you save the game? everytime i play you cannot click the start/options button i'm sick of playing earning many pokemon but not being able to save the game, just starting all over again whenever i play. there must be a way?

I use the emulator desmume and ideas becuz most work on desmume but some dont and those usually work on iDeaS :D
