Sweet game.
hi
to start off i bought this game before i got an a ds game card for cheap. id had the minutares when i was little and thought that the game could be good so i bout it. its a tactile game where you control a space marine army. you take turns just like in the board game, choose who your going to battle(ur squad). the graphics are pretty good for it been a ds game. its very challeging and fun
Terrible game just god awful. Broken AI and game play nothing like its PC counterpart.
i like the pc game better
lol
it took me a while to find since my friend told me the wrong name
the board games better than this and the pc games
really boring game
Eh.... it's alright but they "really" could have done better.
The games SHOULD be turn based, that what it was made fo in the first place!
I'm a 40K fan so I'll give it a go, for the fan who wants a bit more (if it lacking when stacked up against the likes of Dawn of War) there's a reasonable amount of good mods for DoW out there.
The Firestorm mod while not finished is an excellent one with tons of extra stuff and can be found here http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=233419
This game is not exceptional, but I have found it enjoyable so far.
Before going any further, I'd just like to clarify, this game is completely different from Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. And also not as good (go play Dawn of War: Dark crusade. It's the best of the series without a doubt)
Squad Command is a nice little spin off title though, it's a small turn based strategy game. Gameplay is... okay... It's a little hard to master, and it has a few little tricks that aren't adequetly explained in my opinion. But otherwise the game is fairly solid. It feels far more like the table top game than Dawn of War.
Graphics are okay, but the controls are a bit stodgy. I think the game would feel more natural on PC, with a proper mouse and more buttons. But regardless, its still a bit of fun.
However, it feels ultimatly rushed. The camera is annoying and, as I said before, some features aren't properly explained.
Regardless, it's not a bad game. Probably not worth buying, but a download is free anyway, and it can't hurt.
This is not the same as the PC version, this is a spin-off title, it's turn based-tactics
