This is a really great game as long as you're not willing to CHEAT (which takes the fun out of it and leaves you feeling a bit guilty... which sounds like something else you shouldn't do in your free time). The puzzles range from a simple "Well, duh!" to the point where you start to question reality, hints are provided if you can afford them, and almost all of the time the answers are uncomplicated anyways. Plus, the characters are unique and charming, and the animation sequences bring you deeply into the town of St. Mystere. You don't have to solve the puzzles in any specific order (or have to solve some at all), but there is a bit of unlockability in the game for your work. If you like puzzles and point-and-click adventures, this is an excellent choice for you. PLAY IT!

I fell in love with Layton!^^ I just can wait for the other 2 games to be released in English. This is a extremely fun Puzzle game with an awesome story line.
