It seems there's some kind of debate over Pokemon and Dragon Quest, because of the similar "Monster Catching/Recruitment" system of both franchise. If people make some research, they'll find out that the idea was first used in the Dragon Quest franchise, and Pokemon used this idea to incorporate the Monster Catching system. I've only recently discovered Dragon Quest (3 days ago), started playing DQ V, and it's an AMAZING game. I wasn't really sure at first, but I'm definately going to buy it. And I can hardly wait for the IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. The game mechanic is excellent, the design is pretty good, and the Hybrid of 2D sprites and 3D environment is better than in the Pokemon games on the DS, as you can control the camera. And the graphics are better :P But I don't want to compare this franchise with the more popular Pokemon, as they're really not the same. Guys, check out Dragon Quest V.
Weird monsters but not the dragons!
The monster here is all weirdos except DRAGONS!
This is by far the best looking game in the series 'graphics wise' all the other games graphics look horrible, but this is one of the best detailed third person DS games EVER. five outta five. ... Hard Battles...

will there be anymore of this kind of games??? i like all the dragon quest series but i love this MOST because you can 'scout' the monster and make it evolve which is the best part
way too glitchy i would suggest getting buying the game. still a good game. definately worth the money.
how add this, cause it has the cheats with it in the game and i wanted to try his/her other games caues they also may have cheats
