There's something with the name of this game: World at War. It is set in World War II so the major parts of the world are at war, but the earlier Call of Duty games were also set in World War II. So basically in almost all the Call of Duty games it is World at War, but with names like Finest Hour and Big Red One. If you have a shooter set in World War II, you shouldn't really call the game World at War. Give it an exciting name, instead of basically calling the game Call of Duty World War II. World at War isn't really an exciting name for this game. This game is a big improvement over the earlier Call of Duty 4 on the DS also, story wise and graphics wise. This is actually a real war, not a bunch of missions like in Modern Warfare. When you use the ADS mode (aim down sight), the iron sights look a lot better and realistic. They are 3 dimensional instead of 2 dimensional sprites. Also, you don't double tap the screen to bring up the sight. You touch an icon instead. Another improvement. Plus, this game has a lot more variety than Modern Warfare. You could fly bomber planes, parachute, use tanks, send Morse code, disarm mines, and some more. The knife comes back. YES! I think stabbing someone with a knife is a lot more effective than whacking someone with a gun, don't you think? When you stand over a gun on the ground, the name of the gun shows up. Big improvement over Modern Warfare. The only weapons I could recognize in Modern Warfare were the AK-47 and the RPG. You can collect achievements in this game as well. Some achievements include killing multiple enemies with a pistol and sniper rifle. The enemy AI has been improved as well. When you shoot enemies, sometimes they fire a few more bullets at you while on the ground and then die. They also use cover. Why can't you use cover like they do? Looking at Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Veges, also a first person shooter, it's possible. But this game is on the DS, so I didn't expect a lot from it. I have one big complaint, and that's the new weapon, the flamethrower. I don't mind it uses 2 dimensional flames. I mind that it only appears in one level, the first one. This game supports Multi Card Multiplayer, but no DS Download play, unlike Modern Warfare. That's too bad, but the multiplayer in this game is a lot better. The battlefields are much larger and more detailed. So you can go up stairs, climb ladders, pick up pre-laid weapons laying somewhere in the battlefield, and do more things you couldn't do in Modern Warfare. The big thing about World at War is the new online multiplayer. You can play with three other people in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Hunter/Prey, and Capture the Flag. I only do Team Deathmatch. Online play isn't that fun anymore, because people keep using glitches on you. It's so annoying when you are running around but get shot by someone standing in the air. Even my brother searches on Youtube how to do this stuff. Way to ruin the fun people! Call of Duty World at War is a huge improvement over Modern Warfare. Download this now. The minigames are terrible. Especially mortar launching.
