I was randomly getting the black screen on my dsreal but I removed the rom, defragged the sdcard then copied the rom over again, the black screen problem seems to be gone, it looks as though it's an sdcard speed issue since it helps when the file isnt fragmented!

Mine works im using m3dsreal but using m3sakura that works with it.. it is a great game touch screen controls
