Dragon Quest V - Hand of the Heavenly Bride USA

Works great on a DSTT with cheat code. Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest is my favorite game series of all time. I played all the games (except DQ5 and 6 never released in North America) and I have played a long time with this game, not finished yet, but the storyline is the best of the series. GREAT GREAT GREAT GAME!!! I bought it, it really worth 40$.

I already download the rom, the cheat.dat file and insert it to my R4 v.1.18, but there is no cheat(Y) icon on every game I have.

Thanks Phatlaosboi! I am probably getting the game from my brother in law for my birthday on Friday, but I was impatient and wanted to start playing early. :)

Calbretto, don't click on the game first before you play it. Before you even choose to start the game you should stand idle on it and at the very bottom of the screen you should see a tab that reads "Cheat(Y)" I am here to help. It took me three days to get this thing to work and I felt the need to help those that are struggling to get this game to work. I am currently 4 hours into the game and all I can say is "Damn, all that research was worth the effort". I did go out and buy the game but I left it shrinkwrapped for collection purpose. So in conclusion, please support this game by buying it. Keep it as a collection for all that matters.

OK, so I have R4 and the firmware is 1.18. I've updated my CHEAT.DAT to the new one phatlaosboi suggested. I have downloaded the patched version of the game and put it on my card. So what do I do to get the menu that asks if I want to use a cheat code? When I click the game to play it just asks if I want to create a save file, but there is no mention of a cheat menu. What the heck am I doing wrong?
