I don't disagree that it's one of the better RPGs on the DS...but that's because all the other DS RPGs are no good (minus of few remakes)...it being free doesn't change how enjoyable the game is...I've played it...it doesn't deserve the Suikoden name is a completly different type of game (which is still terrible).

only problem is the main character talks like hes high on caffiene but other than that its perfect
Overall after 25+ hours of playing the game, I have had no problem with the rom. Sure the main characters voice acting is a little annoying, but the game overall is great. All you nay-sayers up there just crack me up. This game is one of the WAY better RPG's put out for the DS so far. Just because its not the suikoden of old doesn't mean its crap lol. If you give it a chance, you will love it. Hell, its free... so just stfu!

one should put my favorite games series in the grave...the DS are you
kidding me...and what's with the main character and all his talking...real suikoden games have almost mute main characters! I lost faith in the creaters...suikoden should be on the PS3 and not try to be like all the other really bad rpgs the put on the DS.

Yaaaay.. for whatever reason, the UNDUB version that was posted earlier works fine on my R4 1.18 with YSMenu and (probably) crappy 2gb MicroSD card.. so if you are having the same trouble, try that. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7FYCFD9S
I am also having freezing issues.. right after the initial animation. It happened before and after YSMenu (although I am gonna keep YSMenu). I read on another forum that it could have something to do with the brand of the MicroSD. The one I have came with the R4 as a bundle so it is probably nondescript. Can the people that are having NO trouble post their card brand/firmware and the people that are having trouble do the same? Also, I freed up over 100 meg to make sure that wasn't the problem.
My game freeze even using Ysmenu.
It freeze at the point whr The prince of Magedom asked us to go for the secret passage in the Research Facility.

I just read a review for this game on IGN and it said "The music is amazing, the voice acting is extremely well done (minus
the strange speed-talking from the main character), and the game itself
is very deep." So it looks like that's just the way the game is and it's not a problem with the ROM.

Sorry, my problem earlier, was fixed by the YSmenu. So anyone with this problem should download YSmenu
