Mmm... I love this game, I really do.... but......... the sad part is that they didn't voice the entire game like the Japanese version. Try it out and you'll see that 90\% of the game is voiced in the Japanese version, but we get the shaft. Not only do they not get voice actors and voice it like the Japanese, but they don't even let us turn on the Japanese voices if we want to hear them. I can understand Japanese well enough to get the 80\% of the story when playing the Japanese version, but I'm not that great at reading it, so I have a problem with the items and menus... ah, but I really want the voices. It really is part of why I loved the Valkyrie Profile series so much is that even the original on the Playstation had voices... Ah well, guess complaining won't really help to much....... That is unless.... Would anyone know how to take the sound from the Japanese rom of the game and place it into the US rom? That way there would be voices, but still leave all the text in English.
Awesome!!!!! ds games just keep getting AWESOME!!!! nice romulation!!!! this will be spread... ^\_^
I love this game! Thanx!! I also hope square enix will someday translate Sigma Harmonics =P
I like this game, though the first two Valkyrie Profile games were better in my opinion, because of the exploration elements and not being so restrictive... Well, VP2 was linear, so perhaps it was restrictive in that aspect, but the first one pretty much lets you do whatever. What I mean is that this game does not let you grind. The story keeps advancing. In the first VP there are ways to train without worrying about periods, and in VP2 you basically have all the time of the world to do stuff. This one's a sidestory, which could be good if you're new to the series. The other two had their plots tied in an unexpected way (but how they're tied is a spoiler, I won't get into details). This game has the darkest story out of the three VP games, in my opinion, though they all have a theme in common... Death, sacrifice and lust for power. But this one gets my praises because the main character in a game isn't always a misguided guy doing a lot of evil for his own selfish purposes (no spoilers here, it's the basic premise, you get to notice that from the start). The story has many branches you can follow depending of your actions (in other words, depending on how many people you decide to betray and kill), and in each branch you'll get different characters. Of course, there is more than one ending due to this. Getting the best one isn't easy at first. Getting all endings also lets you play an optional game mode, which pretty much is an endless game. It's worth it, you get secret characters and is fun.
I actually played it and thought it was kinda bad. Two hours into the game and still no way to have a permanent place to train oneself. I guess you could call it being hardcore, but I thought it was simply too HARD.
ZOMG I think I just pizzled myself! Thanx a mill Romulations! I wuwz uz!!111 Okay, in all joking aside, this game looks pretty interesting. I've never played any of the Valkyrie Profile games before but here's a trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKjIYpzQIdo&eur Decide for yourself what you think.
How is it? I didn't quite like blue dragon plus seeing as this is a SRPG, how does it play out?
No, as posted in a much earlier post...
Does it have anti piracy on it? answer please
OMGUH THIS GAME LOOKS AWESOME 4TW 8D the graphics look really good and it's square enix so it MUST be good. O:
Thanks! been waiting forever for this one... oh btw, working on R4 right off the bat, does'nt seem to have anti-piracy at all
The story lines appear to have nothing to do with each other, I checked the original PS1 release story line on wiki and the main characters are different as well as the begining of the plot. I didn't read further because I do want to experience that game eventually. This game is a strategy RPG. Similar to Final Fantasy Tactics with its own battle system that includes many differences, such as nearby allies joining you on attacks and completing special moves. If you enjoy Turn Based Tactical Role Playing Games, you'll certainly enjoy this one. The opening cinimatics are amazing and the series is well established.
