This game is surely fun but it seems like it's been talking too much. If the speech get cut down it might be a real great game.
This game is a good example of a bad localization.. what a strange translation. Beyond that, the gameplay is fine. It's a text adventure.
I like it. but i could'nt get to the end. have to start all over again i suppossed. Worth the download. it's a good DS novel thingy.
worth the download
I just bought the game for $30.00! and now i find i can get it for free! DANG (well, kinda free)
I really like the game... but hell - I suck so bad at it that I can't get past the first day of school without destroying that chicks mind. Right now it's sitting in my rom-folder because I don't want to spend my time struggling with the spirits.
This game looks good im gunna dl it
Lux Pain offers multiple endings to those who think that this is one giant novel on the DS...personally, I like the plot and multiple endings but really gets set off the repetitive game play sometimes. Luck and random chances are what you need to really up the relation with certain characters as the main character only has certain amount of tries at different locations...anyways..rambling too much Game play is tolerable; plot is great; the English voice acting is if not bad, boring and game mechanics is still slightly bugged for the English version(simple he/she mix ups and awkward translations...)...personally, if you know Japanese, go play the Japanese version..I did(even though my Jap is only mediocre)
I think the average hack 'n slash gamer will find Lux-Pain boring, and uninteresting because of the gameplay(let's face it, it's a visual novel), but the strong point of the game is the story. Albeit ridden with typos, and grammatical errors throughout. If you look past that, there is a very riveting story and characters. Another reason some may be put off from the story is the lack of introduction into the gameplay and story. A store bought copy of the game comes with a 40+ page manual that explains most of the premise of the game, and how to play it. Unfortunately, pirated copies do not, so we must do without. Regardless, the game has a large and very informative in-game database which you can browse through if your lost. So before trying a game, especially a game from Japan, don't believe the biased opinion of American reviewers on IGN. I can understand criticizing the horrible translation & errors, unclear localization, and things of that matter, but the game itself isn't that bad if you don't expect you standard text-based adventure. It's a visual novel through and through, so enjoy it for what it is. Be open minded about the different genre's of games people may enjoy. I really enjoyed Lux-Pain, and would recommend it. It has it's annoying bits, but definitely worth a try, and atleast play it up to Episode 9.
This is so awsome i like this type of game cool
It is really cool, I finished the game, but sad ending.....
Will try
