Haha, yay~ my kind of game =D
and uh, interesting story Random\_User; I haven't been on jury duty, but I did attend as part of the jury in a few cases at our local teen-court a few years back, I agree most of them are boring stuff you have to sit through. Maybe that's why these kind of games sell? Since you don't get the same kind of stuff IRL =P
Oddly enough, since 1943 there hasn't been a trial by jury system in
Japan until now (which was why all the cases except the very last one
in the Gyakuten Saiban series were decided a crusty old fart of a
judge).
By the way, jury duty isn't really that exciting, I was
on the panel once and selected as one of the jurors in a drug smuggling
trial. For countless days we heard the same recorded evidence played
over and over again, and both defense and prosecution going through the
same tired arguments (sadly no-one had been shouting "Objection" and
pointing fingers). In the end it was all a waste of time since we ended
up with a hung jury: 6 of us thought the defendant was guilty, the
other 6 insisted she was innocent. (One of them said she was "too hot"
to be guilty. I'm not kidding. They really should include intelligence
tests in the jury selection process.) The judge was so pissed off that
before he kicked all of us off the panel, he said that we should count
ourselves lucky that he hasn't decided to lock us up overnight for
contempt. Well anyway, long story short, jury duty sucks.
Sounds like an interesting game. I Hope it does eventually release in English (if the stories are done well).
Thanks for the info on what its about Silica
Title: Yuuzai Muzai = Guilty or Not Guilty
You act as the jury on a three day trial, deciding whether or not the defendent is guilty. Depending on your decision, the mystery of the case will be revealed. Throughout the trial, you perform a variety of actions such as persuading the jury, question the testimony, and so on.

PS Um...I guess Phoenix Wright made this genre really popular. So I'm guessing this game is probably gonna come out in English too, although that's just speculation...
