I've played numerous Castlevania games. This one, by FAR, has got to be my personal favorite. In my opinion, it's the best game in the series. It's been said: Easy controls, numerous secrets, great music, all of that. What REALLY gets me though, is how there are multiple endings( yes this is true for most, if not all Castlevania games). Believe me, if you don't play anything for the PSX except for one game, THIS one should be your choice.
The FIRST Castlevania game I ever played, and it got me hooked on the series after that. I would have to say that this game ties FF7 as the best game on the ps1

This is a classsic. Wonderful music too.
Although it's a 2D side-scrolling game, It looks absolutely great. The music is extraordinary, the controls easy, competent levels, and numerous secrets... It all gives way to awesome gameplay...
The background music is stunning, the controls are easy as pie, Secrets a-plenty... Truly a masterpiece... Castlevania SotN is quite unmatched by most games of it's generation...
