Wow I also remember the old PC versions. Very good game that makes you jump when the monsters randomly appear in corners. Awesome for people who enjoy gore and a good scare and a good killing.
Love the weapons in there too. Been looking for a newer version of the old PC versions for a while. The N64 one didn't quite work well for me. Had some bugs.
Was a lot of fun, played original version on PC when it came out back in the day. This one comes pretty close to the original Ultimate Doom Doom 2, with a few missing things, but mostly all in tact. Totally worth the download, tons of gameplay crammed in one ROM.

Very excellent game. Doom is an amazing shooter series.
Although, I reccommend hunting down a Doom emulator (GZDoom is a good one) and downloading the actual TNT Evilution and Plutonia Experiment wad files, since not all of the levels in those level packs made it into the PSX version, since the PSX couldn't handle the sizes of some of them. Also, if you want the full challenging experience, the PSX version had the difficulty toned down quite a bit...
However, the PSX version does include some of the Doom II Master Levels.
This was a sweet game at the time, but the graphics aren't much to look at, gameplay is great
